The story behind the person.

Portrait of Tristan Van Garsse

Prelude

I'm a Brussels-based brand designer and web developer working across identities, websites, campaigns, and visual systems.

I’m especially interested in organisations with complex messages: public institutions, non-profits, universities, cultural projects, research teams, and brands that need more than a polished surface.

My work helps those teams make their communication clearer, more consistent, and easier to use across different channels.

I combine graphic design, brand strategy, and front-end thinking. That means I don't just design how something looks; I also think about how it behaves, how it scales, and how a team can keep using it after delivery.

Since June 2026, I’ve been working as Web Platform & Web Governance Coordinator at the Department WEWIS of the Flemish Government. Alongside that role, I continue to deepen my practice in system design and web development.
